HEALTH RISK APPRAISALS AND SCREENING SERVICES

Health Risk Appraisals (HRA's) are excellent tools to help employees identify health risks and ways to make healthy changes. In addition, HRA group summary results assist companies in planning wellness services and measures needed to support employee health. Many companies are implementing HRA's as part of their benefits package and insurance discount program. We can assist you in determining the greatest benefit for your employees and for your company.

Components of an Effective Health Risk Appraisal:

  • Individual questionnaire & health screenings
  • Personal & confidential individual report
  • Company Group Summary Report
  • Individual coaching or counseling regarding high-risk areas and behavior strategies to improve health outcomes and reduce risks
  • Ongoing coaching and wellness programs to support behavior change

Screening Options:

  • Cholesterol (total, HDL, and ratio; or lipid panel including LDL and Triglycerides
  • Glucose (blood sugar)
  • Blood Pressure
  • Height/Weight/BMI
  • Body Composition Estimates
  • Personal Fitness Assessment:
    • Muscle Strength
    • Flexibility
    • Cardiovascular Fitness

These screenings are optional components of HRAs and are also available to schedule as part of your wellness program. Screenings motivate employees to seek information on reducing health risks, providing a unique opportunity to coach employees about risk factors and solutions. Surprisingly, a high percentage of adults do not know their blood pressure, blood sugar, or cholesterol readings and often underestimate their weight. Yet knowing and controlling these risk factors can reduce premature disease and disabilities.
